Welcome to Poole Radio Society

Members of Poole Radio Society are interested in just about every aspect of the hobby of amateur radio and operate on most amateur bands from Top Band (160m) to 3cm in the microwaves.  We make contacts locally, around Europe and world-wide.  In addition to telephony (voice) contacts, members use CW (Morse Code), Slow and Fast Scan Television, Digital Voice and various data modes including PSK31/63, RTTY and FT8/FT4.

Several members are interested in home construction, and lower power operation (QRP).  We use many types of antennas – one of our members even uses a kite!  Others make contacts through satellites.  We are also keen to encourage newcomers of all ages to join us in a fascinating and enjoyable hobby.
